  • Strategy, Vision and Implementation: Develop and implement high-quality business strategies and goals and ensure they align with the business objectives. Directs the development and installation of procedures and controls, to promote; efficiency, solid risk management, communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the BU. Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with laws governing business operations (e.g. Insurance Act, Pension Fund Act…), the Income Tax Act, the companies ACT and any other relevant legislation.


  • General Management: Oversee all operations and business activities of Employee Benefits Department. i.e. Managing the department for the full function of providing employee benefits administration services to clients (record keeping, contributions, claims, exits, investments, insurance, administration etc.). Ensure that the rules, policies and administration procedures of different funds are applied in accordance with the respective service level agreements and Special Rules. Organizing and managing administrators' activities when attending to members so that responses are delivered in a professional manner according to the requirements. Ensuring that procedures are followed in the processing of claims and that benefits are paid to those who are eligible. Ensure confidentiality and protection of all customer information.
  • Human Resource Management: Increase the BU's management effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff. Communicating values, strategies, and objectives to staff. Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Implementing performance management and improvement systems. Maintaining a healthy overall staff relations environment within the BU.


  • Administration and Reporting: Ensure effective administration of the Umbrella Fund and all Stand Alone Funds under administration. Ensure appropriate notes are recorded in the member profile on the administration system. Prepare, analyze and present an accurate report for Trustees meetings, and any ad hoc reports as and when required.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive, trust relations with all clients, key partners and stakeholders. Build and maintain supportive relationships with teams internally. Ensure that all communication sent internally and externally is dealt with professionally. Attend to queries or enquiries by the Umbrella Fund, other funds, employers, members and other stakeholders within the required timelines. Take appropriate corrective action and provide timely responses to audit findings.
