Roles And Responsibilities

  • Germination room Execution of daily care of seeds and seedlings in the germination room. Coordinate and monitor seeds and seedlings in the germination, including seed planting, labelling germination trays, watering and handling seedlings all according to standard operating procedure. Control, manage and maintain all environmental conditions in the germination room. Check the seedlings daily for mould, pests and general plant health. Ensure transplanting of seedlings and use of necessary nutrients.
  • Mother room Check plants daily for general health and ensure that there is no wilting, mould or yellowing. Ensure that each plants is numbered with a specific batch number as per specifications. Add nutrients according to specifications. Identify mothers that are not health and strong and ensure that plants are cut according to standard operating procedure.
  • Operational cloning room Ensuring cloning happens on healthy mother plants Monitor and maintain the water and humidity in the cloning dome Daily checks on clones for pests, mould and general health Add nutrients according to specifications Dispatching of plants to vegetation room when ready
  • Vegetation room Looking out for struggling plants (Limp, bending, damaged, yellow, curling and take note to further inspect. Determining appropriate time to move the plants to the flowering room according to standard operating procedure. Managing the plant height and ensuring all nodes receive equal light Identify any male plants immediately and remove from the rest of the plants.
  • Operational flowering room Controlling the far-red light during the light period. Determine the time for harvest according to standard operating procedures. Ensuring that all environmental conditions are in order and adjusted occordingly. Adding nutrients according to the nutrient specification
  • Harvesting Determining when it is the appropriate time to harvest according to standard operating procedure. Complete the correct administrative documents when receiving plants for harvesting. Ensuring that the plants are cut correctly Ensuring correct weight and batch number
  • Drying Ensuring drying lines are sturdy to prevent sagging and plants hanging on the floor and against the wall. Ensure that there is enough air circulation to secure that the flowers do not get stale.
  • Trimming Ensuring flowers are trimmed for a desired shape Ensuring that excess sugar leaves and any hard stuff remaining on the flower is removed Ensuring flowers are separated from the stems and sugar leaves
  • Packaging, labelling and handling Ensuring that packaging products are sterile, dry and clean Ensuring that the product is packaged as quickly as possible Ensuring that harvested product is handled with the utmost care Ensure that labelling is correct
  • Health and safety Cleaning up before entering the cultivation rooms Ensuring equipment and rooms are cleaned daily and sterilized Adhere to safety regulations regarding equipment Reporting injuries to the supervisor.
