· Oversee booking of clients for VMMC to engage registration and efficient client flow

· Facilitate the informed consent process according to established guidelines

· Perform VMMC procedure

· Prepare the VMMC procedure room to ensure that all necessary equipment and material are available

· Maintain stock management and supplies inventory system

· Liase appropriately with medical teams for client management as and when required

· Ensures linkages to care and management

Ensure that patient information is accurately recorded and appropriately handled at sites

· Screening all the clients entering the facility for Covid 19 then assess,triage and test the covid-19 suspects.

.Ensure that all the documents are correctly completed with all the necessary patient information.

.Ensure that the collected specimens are safely transported to the laboratory for investigations.

· Care for both suspected and confirmed cases of Covid 19

· Observe IPC strategies with every client contact

Working in the Pediatric ward alongside other health care providers, my roles as a nurse include but are not limited to the following:

· Stabilizing patients with focused and wholesome care

· Keeping up with the fast-paced work environment by constantly upgrading my skills and knowledge

· To observe and record patients’ general behavior in the ward

· Coordinate with physician and other health care team in creation and evaluating customized care plans for the patients

· To provide emotional and psychological support for patients and their families

· To ensure patients’ wellbeing and continuity of care

As a newly graduate from the college,I had a chance to work in different departments including; ART/TB, Mother-to-child,Men's corner and Outpatient Department where I was able to secure the following skills and competences:

· Ability to think analytically, critically and reflectively

· Integrate professional knowledge into practice

· Performing nursing techniques proficiently

· Maintaining accurate documentation

· Working effectively with other health care team members

· Maintaining confidentiality and respect of clients’ right to privacy
