  • Leading implementation of the flagship project “Nokaneng – breaking the silence on GBV”: responsible for development of a theory of change, operational planning, implementation of activities, results based monitoring, coordination of a steering structure.
  • Facilitating cooperation of a multi-stakeholder partnership between government, non-government, and the private sector to implement interventions that seek to contribute to changing social norms, attitudes and perceptions that cause and perpetuate violence against women and girls (VAWG)

Achievements:

  • Conceptualising and leading a National Dialogue event on GBV prevention in the workplace in Lesotho: Bringing together government actors, CSOs and the private sector for the 16 days of Activism Against GBV
  • Nominated as a Top 3 finalist for the Global Digital Female Leader Award 2020 (Social Hero Category)
  • Co-authored a 2021 Gender Analysis as contribution to preparations for a follow-on phase (2) of the PfP regional programme
  • Successful fundraising among development partners and the private sector for co- financing of activities in my area of responsibility.
  • Maternity cover (Nov, 2021) for a sister flagship project (Sakeng – focusing on promoting positive masculinities; engaging men and boys for prevention of VAWG)
  • Contributed immensely to development and finalization of text and video content of public versions of the digital solutions.
  • Led and facilitated collaboration between multi-stakeholder partners for 2 launch events of the Nokaneng digital solutions
  • Continue to actively participate in marketing the digital solutions through consultant contract management, presentations to development partners– currently have over 8,000 users
  • Presented the smartphone app at GIZ’s gender slam event in Eschborn, Germany
  • Successfully facilitated use of the digital solutions to address spiking VAWG cases during COVID-19 related lockdown in Lesotho (made input into the Minister’s speech for advocation of use by those at the risk of violence)
  • Managed the production process of 2 seasons of a radio drama on GBV prevention.
  • Undertook grant management and manual development for implementation of a community intervention for prevention of gender-based violence

  • Facilitated coordination of national structures (Project Steering Committee and Technical Task Team) for effective decision making towards protected and managed rangelands and wetlands in the Khubelu catchment.
  • The objective for coordination was to develop a work plan geared to building understanding of national, district and community (especially herders) stakeholders on animal grazing that supported protection of wetlands and sustainable management of rangelands such that underground water for the Orange Senqu River depositaries is increased

  • Played a vital role in coordinating national institutions to develop a work plan for the next project phase

The Main responsibility was to offer technical support to partner government Ministries and departments on decentralisation of functions from central to local level of governance.

Achievements for Technical Support to the Department of Rural Water Supply (DRWS):

· Built understanding and acceptance of the process of decentralization within the Department of Rural Water Supply (DRWS) at national, district and community levels (all 10 districts).

· Advised the Department of Rural Water Supply on developing, implementing and monitoring decentralization work plans, in particular the Aftercare Strategy and the Community Management Handbook for Village Water and Health Committees as a blue-print for decentralized rural water supply systems’ maintenance, sanitation and hygiene.

Achievements for Technical support to the Department of Forestry:

· Successfully enabled district personnel and locally established institutions in all 10 districts to carry out their functions in the transfer of user rights of woodlots/ forest reserves to communities.

· Facilitated the process of stakeholder mapping, clarifying roles and responsibilities on community based woodlot management for ministry district staff, local authorities and community members.
